Venturing to far, I’ve clearly lost my bearings

Giant circular clearing

Noticing some of the trees
Surrounding me
What looks like dried blood
Running down the trunks

Again trying to find my way out of this cursed place
Night closing in as I return again

A figure wearing a robe
Bearing a torch

Facing away from me
I call out to the being
Asking for direction
