He finds himself within a dream

Banging and

He awakens
Upon his bed
Covered in sweat
Rushes downstairs
To the door in the floor
He has to know…

Grabbing and axe
He hacks
Through the lacquer
(Destroying the door)
Descending
Into the dark
The scent of death…

He finds his wife
Upon the moldy floor
She stares lifelessly
Bloated and rotten

Hands chained against the wall
Next to scattered bones
He uses the axe
To dismember her limbs
With his wife free
He drags her oozing corpse upstairs
Feeling lightheaded
He lays down next to his love
